The LaForce line of descendents

This is the direct line of LaForce ancestors that we have been able to discover and trace at the present time. To learn the French origination of the LAForces, we’ll need professional help!

Many thanks to the Schifferstadt town historian, Johann Benedom, who deciphered and published the early town records and also gave generously of his time to us in 2014!

The oldest ancestor is Jean Guilluame aka Wilhelm LaFources, who was born in France before 1645 and at some point emigrated to Schifferstadt, Ludwigshafen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. In 1673, he married Judith Loin in Schifferstadt.  After Judith died, he married Pauline deWinde.

Our Great Great Grandfather Bartholomaeus LaForce, a daylaborer and stonecutter,  emigrated to Dansville NY in 1857. Descendent, Peter La Force b. and his daughter Laura were born in Dansville.
